PLK-picks is a new player on the scene when it comes to guitar accessories. We don’t want to reinvent old wheels, we want to optimise the tried and tested. PLK-picks are ‘made in Germany’. We come from Solingen, a well-known manufacturing location in Germany and we are very experienced in the production of plastic parts using the injection moulding process. We are launching our own new product line with PLK-picks picks, and other guitar-related products are already in development and will follow.
We are at the very beginning and want to take you with us on our journey. PLK-picks are currently only available to buy on our website PLK-picks.com and on the Reverb online platform. However, we also want to bring our PLKs as close as possible to potential customers and are therefore approaching bricks-and-mortar retailers with this letter. After all, we believe that direct contact with the product has a significant influence on the purchase decision. And in the spirit of ‘see me, touch me, feel me …’, this is only possible in a local shop.
We offer a solid product at a reasonable price. Our aim is to convince as many guitarists as possible of the quality of our PLK picks and to make the PLK a common standard.
Because there is no product in the world that is perfect for all eternity and because we as guitarists have been missing something for a long time, we sat down and experimented until the plectrum became the PLK.
The PLK has a familiar shape, but offers a number of functions that significantly change the way you play. You’ll notice it as soon as you hold a PLK pick between your fingers. A PLK pick offers much more feel and haptics.
Horizontal ribs that flatten towards the centre form a recessed grip for the thumb, ensuring that the PLK remains stable, reliable and immovable between the fingers where it belongs. The embossed PLK logo on the back provides additional grip for the index finger.
PLK picks are available in three thicknesses of 0.60, 0.75 and 0.90 mm. However, the thickness of a PLK is only defined in a groove below the moulded grip. PLK picks are generally 1 mm thick, and up to 2 mm in the thumb recess area. This means you always have a good grip between your fingers.
A bevelled edge on both sides ensures a smoother playing flow and a recognisably richer overtone sound. This is particularly noticeable on acoustic guitars.
We sell PLK-picks for €1.33 or €1.25 each, depending on whether 6 or 12 packs are ordered.
We offer retailers further graduated prices according to order quantity, both for pre-made packs of 6 PLK-picks and for loose goods for use in the ‘set box’ on the shop counter. Please ask for further details. You will also receive counter displays from us explaining the product.
